We are based in Battle, East Sussex, and install commercial electric heating across East Sussex, Kent, Surrey, West Sussex and the wider South East.
We install radiant and infrared heating in sports halls, workshops and large open buildings, as well as pew heating for churches. We work with schools and academies, universities, offices and commercial property and industrial sites. Electric heating also forms part of our wider commercial electrical installations work and our full range of services.
Not every building is suited to radiant heating. We assess the building first and tell you whether we think it is the right option before we quote.
Heating the people and areas that need it
Large halls, churches and other open buildings can be expensive to heat because traditional systems often spend a lot of energy warming the air throughout the whole room.
Radiant and infrared heating works differently. Instead of relying on warm air circulating around the building, it directs heat towards the people, floors and surfaces below.
In a sports hall, ceiling-mounted radiant heaters can provide heat where the hall is being used without having to warm the entire volume of air first.
In a church, heated pews provide heat directly to the people sitting in them. They can be switched on shortly before a service and turned off again when the building is empty.
For buildings that are only occupied at certain times, this can provide much better control over when and where energy is being used.
Heating that works around how the building is used
We design the heating around the building rather than installing the same system everywhere.
Zoning and controls give you more control over the heating and avoid running it for longer than necessary.

Electric heating for churches and listed buildings
We install pew heating and other electric heating systems for churches and houses of worship.
For listed churches, heating work may need to go through the faculty process and involve the church architect and diocese. This means it is worth starting the conversation early.
We plan the electrical installation carefully around the building and its existing fabric, including the position of heaters, fixings and cable routes.
Pew heating can be a good option because the heat is provided at the seating rather than relying on warming the whole church.

We are an NICEIC Approved Contractor and SafeContractor accredited. Our engineers are DBS checked, which is particularly important when we are working in schools and universities.

Electric heating FAQs
Is electric heating expensive to run?
It depends on the building, the type of heating and how often it is used.
Radiant heating can work well in buildings that are used for shorter periods because it can provide heat where it is needed without having to warm the whole building first.
If a building needs to stay at a constant temperature all day, another type of heating may be more suitable. We assess this during the site visit before recommending a system.
Can you install electric heating in a listed church?
Yes, depending on the building and the approvals required.
Heated pews can be particularly suitable because the heating is installed around the seating rather than using a traditional system to heat the whole church.
For listed churches, the work may need faculty approval and input from the church architect or diocese, so we recommend starting the process early.
Can our existing electrical supply support electric heating?
We check this before we quote.
The amount of available capacity depends on your incoming electrical supply, main panel, distribution boards and the load already being used by the building.
If additional capacity is required, we will explain what needs upgrading and can include the necessary power distribution work in the project.

How much does commercial electric heating cost?
The cost depends on the size and type of building, the number and type of heaters, controls, installation requirements and whether any electrical upgrades are needed.
We visit the building first and provide a quotation based on what is actually required rather than trying to estimate the cost over the phone.
If other work is needed, we will show this separately in the quotation.
Can you heat individual areas rather than the whole building?
Yes. Zoning is one of the main benefits of this type of heating.
We can divide the system into separate areas so you only use the heating where it is needed. This can be particularly useful in churches, sports halls and other large buildings where different areas are used at different times.
