We carry out LED lighting upgrades for commercial buildings across the South East. We start with a free survey to look at your existing lighting, energy use and what you could save by switching to LED.
We then design, install and certify the upgrade. We work in schools, churches, universities, offices, warehouses, sports halls and other commercial buildings. On most commercial sites, the cost of the upgrade is paid back through energy savings within five years.

We are based in Battle, East Sussex, and carry out commercial LED lighting upgrades across Kent, East Sussex, Surrey and the wider South East.
We work in offices, schools, academies and colleges, churches and other houses of worship,
warehouses and industrial buildings. We plan the work around how the building is used, whether that means working during school holidays, outside office hours or around production.
We also provide a wider range of commercial electrical services where other electrical work is needed alongside the lighting upgrade.
Free LED lighting surveys and savings calculations
We start with a free survey of your existing lighting. We look at the fittings already in place, measure light levels, record energy use and find out how each area of the building is being used.
We then provide a written calculation showing what your current lighting costs to run, the expected energy use with LED lighting, the cost of the upgrade and the estimated annual saving.
On most commercial sites, the upgrade pays for itself within five years. If the figures do not make financial sense for your building, we will tell you.
The figures also give you something clear to use when planning budgets or presenting the project to a governing body, committee or other decision maker. There is no charge and no obligation to go ahead.
Why we design the lighting before we replace it
Replacing every existing fitting with an LED equivalent is not always the best option. It can reduce energy use, but it does not necessarily improve the lighting or make the most of the available saving.
We design the upgrade around the building and how each area is used. That includes the light levels required, colour temperature, controls, mounting height and the position and number of fittings.
In some areas, fewer LED fittings in better positions can provide better light while using less energy. We can also include presence sensors, daylight controls and dimming where they are suitable.
Better lighting with lower running costs
A well-designed LED upgrade should improve the lighting as well as reduce energy use.
That can mean quicker start-up in a school hall, better control of lighting in a church, more even lighting across an office or brighter and more efficient lighting in a warehouse.
You also have fewer lamps and tubes to replace, which can reduce ongoing maintenance, particularly where fittings are difficult to reach.

Lighting issues are often identified as part of an EICR so if an inspection is also due, we can look at both at the same time.
If the existing distribution needs upgrading to support the work, we can quote separately for panel and distribution work. LED lighting also forms part of our wider commercial electrical installations work.

Support with energy targets and funding
If your organisation has energy or carbon reduction targets, the survey gives you clear figures for the existing lighting and the proposed LED upgrade.
We can show the estimated reduction in energy use and projected annual saving, which can also help when preparing business cases or funding applications.
This can be particularly useful for churches, schools, universities and other organisations where an upgrade needs to be approved before the work can go ahead.

What does the free LED lighting survey include?
We visit the building, look at the existing fittings, measure light levels and establish how long the lighting is normally in use. We then provide a written calculation showing the proposed upgrade, cost, estimated energy saving and expected payback period.
The survey is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
How much does an LED lighting upgrade cost?
The cost depends on the number and type of fittings, access, mounting height, controls and any additional electrical work required.
We price the work after the survey so the quotation is based on the building rather than a standard rate. We also show the expected annual saving and payback period. On most commercial sites, this is within five years.
Can you install LED lighting without closing the building?
In most cases, yes. We can phase the work around different areas of the building and plan installation outside normal working hours where needed.
For schools, we can use holiday periods. In offices, we can work evenings or around occupied areas. If part of the building does need to be taken out of use, we will agree this with you in advance.
Can you convert our existing fittings to LED?
Sometimes. If the existing fittings are in good condition and suitable for conversion, we may be able to retain them.
In other areas, replacing the complete fitting may give better performance, lower energy use or reduced maintenance. We assess this as part of the survey and recommend the most suitable option for each area.
Looking at your wider energy costs
Lighting can be one of the quickest ways to reduce energy use, but it may not be the largest cost in every building.
